National Notary Association Certified Notary Signing Agent

About Clara

I have been a Notary Public in Kentucky for about two years. I became a notary as part of my duties as a banker working for Chase Bank. I have always enjoyed being a notary. I serve an important role in our community ensuring that people can depend the legitimacy of signatures and statements in documents, thus enabling them to conduct their business with confidence. I take my role as a preventer of fraud and a protector of the public's rights and wishes seriously. And of course, I love being a notary because it is another excuse to engage in my guilty pleasure of office supplies!

Since beginning this adventure, I have valued my education. The National Notary Association has been an invaluable resource in my journey. I have read almost every relevant book they have to offer and taken the "How to Succeed as a Notary Signing Agent Training" in addition to the NSA certification course and exam. I continue to educate myself in an ongoing way. I am currently working my way through the "Elite Loan Signing Agent Training" by Notary2Pro. It is my goal to be the most reliable and knowledgeable Notary and Signing Agent professional possible. I value an attention to detail and quality over quantity. I will do everything I can to ensure a smooth, accurate signing appointment. I know that feedback is the foundation of success. I am always looking for ways to improve and I value any feedback or knowledge a person or institution has to offer.

Excellent customer service is what sets businesses apart. Genuine connection and compassion are what elevate customer service beyond the mundane and a slimy sales pitch. I go above and beyond to make my customers feel like a valued friend taken care of by an expert. I truly care about my customers. I want to help in every way I can and if possible, brighten someone’s day.

As a signing agent I know that the closure on a property is a nerve-wracking experience and often the culmination of years of working and saving. To commemorate the moment, I offer to take a Polaroid picture of my clients and put in a simple paper frame with the date stamped on it, so that borrowers can remember and forever cherish the moment they bought their home.

Hire me and you will get someone who cares deeply about the quality of their work and the people that they serve.

In my other life, I am an actor and playwright. I have been practicing theatre for almost 20 years, though it really doesn’t feel like it! I have a degree in theatre with a focus in original work from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. I am also the board treasurer for The Bunbury Reparatory Theatre Company. I am active in the Louisville theatre community at large. Recently my play "Dead Purple" premiered on the stage of Bunbury. I have also appeared as an actor in "The Importance of Being Earnest" at Highview Arts Center, "The House of Bernada Alba" with The Chamber Theatre and Teatro Tercera Llamada and "The Tempest" as part of the SoIN to Shakespeare program with the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana. If you are interested in learning more about my artistic work you can view my website here.

In my free time I practice yoga, knit, hike, cuddle with my feline beast, spend time with my partner, collect fountain pens and volunteer at the Louisville Metro Animal Shelter.
